It is with great sadness that Huntly Volunteer Fire Brigade advise the passing of former CFO Ron Turton. Ron was the CFO for over 20 years, received the QSM, won the hose running national comp, among many things.

Trevor Harold Gibson QSM
Whanganui Fire Brigade advise the passing of former member Trevor Harold Gibson QSM on Tuesday 18th February 2025, aged 94 years. A service for Trevor will be held in the Dempsey and Forrest funeral home, Guyton Street Whanganui on Saturday 22nd February at 10am.
Ray Johnstone
It is with great sadness that Cust Volunteer Fire Brigade advise the passing of Life Member and former Chief Fire Officer Ray Johnstone. Ray joined Cust in 1965 and retired in 1999 having spent 4 of his years as chief and 6 as deputy.

It is with much sorrow that the Wellington District wishes to advise the passing of retired Senior Firefighter Murray Tonks on Tuesday 11 February 2025 in Kapiti. Murray joined the Wellington Brigade in 1981 and retired in 2009.
Jeff Mills - updated
Waitemata District wishes to advise the passing of retired SSO Jeff Mills on Saturday 8th February 2025. Jeff joined the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Brigade 27/4/1970 and retired 17/5/2007. He served at many stations in central and south Auckland before spending his final 6 years on Brown Watch, Takapuna Station.
