A much respected Taranaki kaumātua Rev Albie Martin passed away on Wednesday after a battle with cancer. Albie was an ardent supporter of the New Plymouth Fire Brigade and our organisation as a whole.

A much respected Taranaki kaumātua Rev Albie Martin passed away on Wednesday after a battle with cancer. Albie was an ardent supporter of the New Plymouth Fire Brigade and our organisation as a whole.
This is to advise of the passing of Norman William Golding (Goldey) on May 20th 2023. Joining in 1947, Norman served the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board and New Zealand Fire Service for over 40 years, retiring as a Divisional Officer in 1988.
Otaki Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of retired DCFO and LHM Graeme Watson on 6 April 2023. Graeme joined the Otaki Brigade, after serving in Wainuiomata, in 1966. He served until 1995, the last 23 years as Deputy Chief Fire Officer. A private service has been held.
Rahotu Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of ex-Firefighter Kevin Fryer on 16 May 2023.
Keith was a Firefighter at Rahotu Station from December 2006 to March 2010 and then at Ōpunake Station from March 2010 to November 2010.
The Dunedin Fire Brigade wish to advise of the passing of ex firefighter Peter Scoles on May 12th 2023. Peter joined the brigade in 1972 and served with the New Zealand Fire Service for 32 years. As per Peter’s wishes a private cremation was held.
Tomorrow, fire and emergency services personnel, families and dignitaries will gather in Canberra to commemorate those who have died in the line of duty.
Patoka Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of Rural Fire Force Controller Robert Poulton on April 15th 2023. The Hawke’s Bay District acknowledges his commitment to the brigade and community over the many years and in particular recently through Cyclone Gabrielle.
