Event details:

In late 2021 the New Zealand Defence Force in association with ICN New Zealand hope to host a bodybuilding competition at RNZAF Base Ohakea. The competition will be open to all members of the NZDF (uniformed and civilian), reservists, cadets and retirees/veterans, as well as members of Emergency Services, Customs and Corrections. The competition will be a partnership with ICN NZ and raise money for Te Kiwi Maia – The Courageous Kiwi, a charity which supports injured and ill emergency services and military personnel.

While no date is confirmed, WGCDR Stuart Pearce is now seeking expressions of interest. You can register your interest here: stuart.pearce@nzdf.mil.nz

Event information:

The competition will offer a full range of classes catering for seasoned bodybuilders, men and women's physique, fitness models as well as a TRX (Body Transformation) class. Stuart hopes the event will inspire people to start out on a fitness journey and make some positive and healthy changes in their lives. The team are also exploring options to secure sponsorship to support youngsters from the Youth Development Unit who might also want to compete. Many of these young people come from troubled backgrounds and the hope is this might elevate them out of an otherwise unhealthy lifestyle.

Further information:

We'll update you as more details become available. Once again, if you're interested in taking part, or looking for more information, Stuart would love to hear from you: stuart.pearce@nzdf.mil.nz
